Oficina Inglesa maintains this site (“Site”) for your own personal entertainment, information, education, and communication. Please feel free to browse the Site. You may download material displayed on the Site for non-commercial, personal use only, provided you also retain all copyright and other propriety notices contained in the materials. You may not, however, distribute, modify, transmit, reuse, report, or use the contents of the Site for public or commercial purposes, including the text, images, audio, and video without Oficina Inglesa Ltd written permission.

Your access and use of the Site is also subject to the following terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions") and all applicable laws. By accessing and browsing the Site, you accept, without limitation or qualification, the Terms and Conditions and acknowledge that any other agreements between you and Oficina Inglesa are superseded and have no force or effect.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. The content of the Site is protected by copyright, subject to trademark protection, database rights and other intellectual property rights. You may retrieve and display the content of the Site on a computer screen, store such content in electronic form on disk (but not any server or other storage device connected to a network) or print one copy of such content for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep intact all and any copyright and proprietary notices. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, copy or distribute or use for commercial purposes any of the materials or content on the Site without written permission from Oficina Inglesa.

2. While Oficina Inglesa uses reasonable efforts to include accurate and up-to-date information on the Site, Oficina Inglesa makes no warranties or representations as to its accuracy. Oficina Inglesa assumes no liability or responsibility for any errors or omissions in the content on the Site.

3. Your browsing of the Site is at your risk. Neither Oficina Inglesa nor any other party involved in creating, producing, or delivering the Site is liable for any direct, incidental, consequential, indirect, or punitive damages arising out of your access to, or use of, the Site. Without limiting the foregoing, everything on the site is provided to you “as is” without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Oficina Inglesa also assumes no responsibility, and shall not be liable for any damages to, or viruses that may infect, your computer equipment or other property on account of your access to, use of, or browsing in the Site or your downloading of any materials, including, but not limited to, data, text, images, video, or audio from the Site.

4. Any communication or material you transmit to the Site by electronic mail or otherwise, including but not limited to any data, questions, comments, suggestions, and the like, will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary. Anything you transmit or post may be used by Oficina Inglesa or its affiliates for any purpose, including but not limited to reproduction, disclosure, transmission, publication, broadcast, and posting. Furthermore, Oficina Inglesa is free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how, or techniques contained in any communication you send to the Site for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to developing, manufacturing, and marketing products using such information.

5. Although we aim to offer you the best service possible, we make no promise that the services at the Site will meet your requirements. We cannot guarantee that the services will be fault-free. If a fault occurs with the Site you should report it to Oficina Inglesa and we will attempt to correct the fault as soon as we reasonably can. Your access to the Company Site may be occasionally restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new facilities or services. We will attempt to restore the service as soon as possible.

6. As a convenience to customers, the Site may include links to other web sites or material which are beyond its control. Oficina Inglesa is not responsible for content on any site outside its own Site.

EVENTS OUTSIDE CONTROL

Oficina Inglesa will not be liable for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a Contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (Force Majeure Event). Oficina Inglesa’s performance under any Contract is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues, and we will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period. Oficina Inglesa commits to use its reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which its obligations under the Contract may be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.

ORDERS OUTISDE THE EUROPEAN UNION

If you place an order from outside the European Union, your goods may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when your product reaches its final destination. Local Customs office will inform you if that is the case. The customer will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes in all cases, unless specified in the Contract by Oficina Inglesa.

PAYMENT

Oficina Inglesa asks for a 50% deposit on all orders before starting work, with the balance due one week before the order is ready to leave our factory. 

DELIVERY

All Oficina Inglesa products are duly packed and boxed before being transported. Upon the arrival of the goods in the final destination, Oficina Inglesa will contact the customer to arrange the delivery of the goods at a date and time of the customer’s convenience.

Once the customer has signed for the goods, this signifies that the customer has inspected the goods, checked that all items are present and in an acceptable condition. If someone other than the purchaser is accepting the goods on the purchaser's behalf, Oficina Inglesa cannot be held liable for their failure to correctly inspect the goods or that all items are present and in acceptable condition.

Should a customer miss a delivery it is the customer’s responsibility to re-arrange the delivery or, alternatively, collect the items from an assigned collection point. In this case, transport and delivery charges are non-refundable.

If your furniture is ready and you are unable to accept delivery we reserve the right, after 10 days, to charge a storage fee of 1% of the total order value per day.

PRODUCT DIMENSIONS

It is the customer’s responsibility to measure all door ways, ceiling heights and staircases to ensure that the items ordered will fit into the home or space available. For your convenience, Oficina Inglesa provides the clear dimensions of our products on the website.

WOOD FINISHES

All Oficina Inglesa products are handmade and hand painted. Although wood finish samples are available on request, no two pieces will be the same as our finishes are applied by hand. We make every attempt to ensure that the photography on the website and in our catalogue are an accurate representation of our wood finishes, however, small variations in colour may occur. 

RETURNS

Because Oficina Inglesa offers a bespoke service and our products are made to your personal specifications, the statutory seven (7) day cancellation period under article 10 of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 does not apply.

AMENDMENTS

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time for legal or regulatory reasons or to allow the proper operation of the Site. Any changes will be notified via a suitable announcement on the Site. If you do not wish to accept the new Terms and Conditions you should not continue to use the Site. If you continue to use the Site after the date on which the change comes into effect, your use of the Site indicates your agreement to be bound by the new Terms and Conditions.

APPLICABLE LAW

These Terms and Conditions will be subject to the laws of England and Wales. We will try to solve any disagreements quickly and efficiently. If you are not happy with the way we deal with any disagreement and you want to take court proceedings, you must do so within the United Kingdom.
